My name is Debbie Cooper, I am the owner of Metchosin Soap Works.  We design and manufacture handcrafted Olive Oil Soap. I learnt the bulk of my soap making during my travels through the Hawaiian Islands. My first love of soap was on the Big Island of Hawaii, in a small town called Pahoa. I have farmed in Metchosin for over 17 years. I carrying my Organic Farming practices over into my soap business by using 100% recycled packaging and reclaimed wood for our signature soap boxes, all good for the earth and biodegradable. I try to keep everything local by using local plant materials and clays from Vancouver Island, like our Blue Clay from Bamfield.

At our studio we teach soap every Tuesday and Wednesday nights, passing on our unique techniques in the art of soap making. We are very excited to be offering more soap making lessons in 2018, starting with soap lessons for kids!  We have had many local school classes in Metchosin come through our studio for a tour. The very first question I always receive from the kids that tour our studio is, "When are we going to make soap!", well this is the year! We are getting our studio prepped to offer soap making lessons for kids on Saturdays. We will also offer private bookings, so if you want to book the whole studio out for a Birthday soap making party we will offer that too. Bath Bomb lessons are coming soon to our studio in 2018 plus a lesson on couple massage techniques.
We are very excited to offer many new lessons in our studio in 2018.

Please like us on Facebook, under Metchosin Soap Works, or sign up online for our lessons at www.MetchosinSoapWorks.com.
