Welcome to Huber Studio – written word and functional art. Charla Huber and her daughter, Soleil, have teamed up to create a studio that allows them to follow their artistic passions and to find ways to share them with the community and create opportunities to inspire others in the process.
Charla Huber is a Metchosin resident who is well-known for her journalism and writing. She worked as a local newspaper reporter for several years and has written a weekly column in the Times Colonist newspaper since 2016. Charla is the Director of Communications and Indigenous Relations for M’akola Housing Society; she gives back to the community though her work on the Victoria-Esquimalt Police Board and as a volunteer with the Metchosin Emergency Program.
Soleil is 11 years old and has spent her childhood playing and living in Metchosin. She loves making bath products that include bath bombs and bubble bars and is eager to create her own line of bath products.
Together this mother-daughter duo likes to paint, draw, bead, and weave and are excited to see what creative projects evolve though Huber Studio.
