VCA is Vancouver Island's oldest college of Art. It is the only art college in Victoria offering diploma courses in both Fine Arts and Applied Arts. Designated one of six Centers of Excellence in Animation education in Canada, the Victoria College of Art is unique on the island for preparing students for animation, Illustration and Fine Arts careers.

The VCA has one studio in the art centre, adjacent to its office and two additional classrooms in another part of the old school building.
