The Studio Arts program at Royal Bay offers students hands-on exploration in ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and digital media.
Students learn an array of foundational studio skills while developing their personal ideas and artistic voice. What you won’t see on display this year at the Metchosin Point of View Gallery Student Art Exhibition is our growing 3D Art program, which has seen an exciting surge of interest in ceramic works. Students are exploring hand-building, some wheel-throwing, and a variety of glazing processes. With kiln space at a premium, we are currently rotating firings and working creatively to accommodate high demand. A great sign of a thriving ceramic and art culture at our school.
