On one level art is just a diversion, at best it can be good, as Picasso said, for “washing the dust of daily life off our souls”. On another level it can occasionally offer a glimpse deep into our souls shown in terms that cannot be communicated by any other means: a blurry reflection of how the painter sees reality is possible but don’t forget it is your own lens you are looking at it through.

I choose to work in a publicly accessible studio because I am naturally very introspective. I hope others will visit my space to share thoughts and expand our insights into the creative process.
