Woman Is a Woman Is a Woman Is a Woman
In homage to Gertrude “Pussycat” Stein
The female body is the most judged, ogled, distorted, demonized, mutilated, dominated, assaulted, contested, appropriated, dehumanized and simultaneously neglected aspect of humanity.
Yet, it is the source of all human life. And, to more than half the entire human race, it is simply home.
In spite of how we are so often portrayed, no woman is a faceless body. Every single one of us has a face, a life, a unique soul looking out at her own world.
We are not born to be judged, ogled, distorted, demonized, mutilated, dominated, assaulted, contested, appropriated, neglected or dehumanized.
Each of us simply lives, from birth to death, in the female body that is our home.
