About Bonnie:
Bonnie is a self-directed painter with 40 plus years working in cartography and architecture prior to becoming a full-time artist living in East Sooke. She works with a variety of mediums including oil and acrylic on canvas or cradled board, recycled wood and ‘live edge’ cedar planks; her recent work is focused on acrylic paintings of momma bears. Bonnie has a deep-seated fear of bears because of a few harrowing close encounters. Her recent work is dedicated to desensitizing that fear by painting kindly bears.
