The Language of Power: Symbols, Colour & Intention
When can just a symbol empower you with strength?
Could a choice in colour weave and shift your energy?
How do the gestures and brushstrokes themselves carry focused intent?
These questions and more will be explored by participants as we delve into the world of ArtPod’s, Talisman.
In this (x)-hour workshop, introductory creators, through to advanced local artisans, and those who are simply curious about how art transforms into power, are invited to play with the process of how symbols, palettes, and expressive mark-making combine to create individual talismanic works of art.
As this is a workshop, and not just a crafting fair, we may have to learn things along the way.
Together, we will be covering several elements of human nature involving belief, intent and tradition. Some culturally, ceremoniously, and to the individual. Hint* that’s YOU.
What I want to achieve during this time together is to help facilitate space for you to:
-Actively discover your OWN personal sigil or symbol.
-Understand more about the emotional power of palettes and colour.
-Embrace the intentions through expressive mark-making.
By the end of this workshop the outcome will be to learn about yourself, make a mess, and leave with a broader view of what talismans mean to you. Oh, and to have created your OWN personal talisman art, that is infused with your energy and intent, as well as a piece of art embodying your studies of intent, colour and energy.
